My nest thermostat e won't connect to WiFi or setup in the app. What am I doing wrong?

I have tried all faq help guide recommendations, but my thermostat e still won't connect to the app and the WiFi. I have hard reset my entire WiFi network in the house as well as factory reset the Nest device, and also uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone.

I appreciate the time and effort you took to complete the troubleshooting steps described in the post. To provide you with accurate troubleshooting steps, I would appreciate your assistance in answering the following questions:

  • When did the trouble first occur? 

  • What's the software version of your thermostat?

  • Can the thermostat find different Wi-Fi networks? 

  • Are you trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz network?

  • How far is the thermostat from your Wi-Fi router? 

  • Do you see an error code or notification on the thermostat display when you try to reconnect to the internet? 

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
