Hot water no signal

Hi All, yesterday we had the learning thermostat installed. Our heating is working perfectly fine however we have no hot water at all. There does not seem to be any signal reaching the boiler as this does not 'kick in' when we run hot water. Any help per the attached image would be really useful thanks (please ignore the plater work this was from the previous thermostat!).

We have followed the instruction guide visuals and guidance from the Google support yesterday.

The plaster work is the least of your problems!

Looking at the install, I would get the person back to fit correctly, that wiring is awful!!

The cores feeding the Heat Link should be double insulated into the box, they are not

The connections show copper, you should not see any copper.

Breaks the current UK regs!!!

Do you have a system boiler, ie immersion tank?

Regarding the Hot Water, terminal 6 has a cable in it which is the Hot Water relay connection. Can you test the connection at terminal 6 for live when the button is pressed? You just need a neon tester.
