How do I wire to nest? 2 wires are connected to RH (1-red, 1- copper). Copper wire also goes to RC.

I currently have a Trane thermostat. 2 wires are connected to RH (1 is red, 1 is copper). 1 copper is also connected to RC. No jumper.  See photo for current setup. The nest installation says only 1 wire/connection.

Please advise on the wiring connections for the Google Nest (3rd gen).

Hi Nita in MN,

I'm so sorry for the delay in our response, but I wanted to hop in here to make sure we addressed your concern. I can definitely understand the confusion when it comes to wiring issues as it can be very confusing to figure out sometimes, but I'm happy to look into this for you.

First off, I would suggest using the Compatibility Checker to see if your system is compatible. Then, if it is I would suggest using this article to help identify the different wires. If you're still having troubles after that, I would suggest contacting a pro to check out your setup and best advise. Please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns as I'm happy to help.
