Hi @Shsnsnsnsn

Are you getting that pop up repeatedly each time you open the Nest app?  If so that would annoy the heck out of me too.

I would send in app feedback. That report will go directly to the developers and hopefully they can dial that occurrence back.

It appears frequently but not on every app open. It is enough to annoy because it keeps coming back.

I’m almost at the point where I want to throw away the thermostats and never use a nest product again.  Nest support wants me to call my electric company for help.  I asked if they are saying the electric company has access to my account and is changing settings but they won’t comment.

I stopped getting that pop up so wanted to investigate why that keeps happening for you. Not sure, other than sending in app feedback how to stop it completely.

The Nest Renew program, when enrolled, does utilize some local power companies for the Energy Shift feature. The power company would control your thermostat during peak power usage times etc.

The popup seems to appear every 1 or 2 weeks.  I click the X to close.

It seems like they are trying to push everyone onto the Renew in Texas so we don’t all die if the grid goes down again.

Hi there,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for helping here, @JillG.

We hear you, @Shsnsnsnsn. Currently, we don't have the option to disable the Nest Renew feature promotion, as it appears that you are eligible for this program, and I understand your frustration, especially when it keeps popping up on your screen. So, please let our product team know about it by sending feedback.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns; otherwise, the thread will be locked in 24 hours.

Best,

Mark
