I have 2 C wires connected to each other in heat only baseboard apartment heaters. Looking to install nest system, but don’t know what to do with 2nd C wire.

your baseboard heaters are power likely operating at a line voltage of 120 V AC or possibly 240 V AC power. Those type systems are not compatible with conventional thermostats or intelligent thermostats like the nest learning thermostat. Conventional thermostats, and the nest thermostats only operate with conventional HVAC heating and cooling systems that have a low voltage 24V AC control system.

It’s low voltage wires coming out of it with Honeywell thermostat, I’m pretty sure it’s still compatible. See if this link works!

@Marcwebster ,

if you have two common wires would be a good question is why? The low voltage side is RNW and I guess the comment is supplied there as well but in all reality, the nest thermostat back plate can only accept a single wire not two wires inside.

I was able to get it to work. Only one C wire wasn't enough power to get the thermostat to turn on. I had to wrap the C wires together, and put into C terminal on back plate, and that was enough power. Been running perfectly for weeks.
