Hello folks,

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with your Nest Thermostats, and I completely understand how frustrating and uncomfortable it must be to have your home temperature fluctuate unexpectedly. It's crucial to address this issue promptly.

Firstly, let's troubleshoot the problem together. Please follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that there are no scheduled temperature changes that might be causing the thermostat to increase the temperature during the evening. You can review and edit the schedule through the Nest app or Google Home app.
  2. Verify that the thermostat's temperature sensors are functioning correctly. You can do this by placing a thermometer near the thermostat and comparing the readings. If there's a significant discrepancy, recalibrate the thermostat.
  3. Ensure that your HVAC system is working correctly. If the heat is not kicking on as expected, it could be a separate issue with the HVAC system.

In the meantime, to mitigate the discomfort, consider manually adjusting the thermostat when needed and monitoring the temperature closely. I understand this is not a permanent solution, but it can provide some relief while we work on resolving the underlying issue.

Best regards,
Mark
