Incorrect Wi-Fi status on Nest T-Stat app

Everything I've done to troubleshoot and I mean EVERYTHING, has not allowed me to control my T-Stat from the app. It's been about 6 months with this issue, have had it installed for 18 months conservatively. T-Stat on the wall says the app is up to date, the WiFi is on, server and modem is fine, the wall T-Stat says that my network is connected and I've deleted and  installed, reset the T-Stat and NOTHING in the community or the troubleshooting steps has allowed me to get this working. The sensor in the other part of our house is connected and is in good standing for like the rest of the system is. I've done it all, the wires are connected appropriately and it worked for the first year or so. Nothing has changed with the Internet service or provider, the T-Stat is the same, NOTHING has changed. No matter what time in the day, it says it's offline... and it's not. The system is on and air/heat is flowing, but the app continues to say it's offline. Bewildered and frustrated, beyond perplexed. If I have to come downstairs to adjust the settings or can't adjust the settings from my mobile app at any point in the day, while I'm away from standing in front of the T-Stat on my wall at home, what are we really doing here? Please help!!!

Hi, @Amg32

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I apologize that your thermostat is still offline. I appreciate you trying the troubleshooting steps. Let's work together to fix it.

To better assist you, I would like to know:

  • What type of thermostat do you have?
  • Is your phone connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the thermostat?
  • How far away is the thermostat from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the thermostat?

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

In addition, @Aaron261, could you provide me more details about the issue you are experiencing and what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far, please?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Ana.
