Hi! My house is 62° according to a thermometer I have in my house, but my Nest says it’s 90°. The 62° is correct, because I woke up freezing. I cannot get the indoor temp to change back to normal on the Nest. I even restarted it. The Nest device itself feels very warm as if it may be overheating. What can I do to fix this?

I have the same issue, but in my case the difference in real vs Nest Indoor temperatures is 68 vs 75 respectively. I have an open problem with Nest, if I get an answer, I will post here. If you find something out, please do the same for me.
Thank you

Hi Mb1213. Just to let you know, I physically removed the Nest thermostat and took out the batteries and removed it from the Google Home app. I rechecked all my physical connections and readded the device to Google Home. Indoor temperature was the same as my comfort temperature. I also saw that when the Indoor ambient temperature dropped to 67, the boiler kicked on as it should. So far, so good.

I have always been a Google fan, but I now am unsure if I will ever buy another one of their products again. The customer service representative that I spoke to through Google is named Jeremy. He was very kind and thoroughly troubleshooted my device for over an hour. There is nothing else that could be done.
My device is a little over a year old, so the warranty expired in Aug 2023. He told me that Google will NOT replace my device for free at this point, and at the end of the call the resolution was that I needed to purchase a new device myself. This item is clearly faulty.
Like many others have stated in online reviews of their Nest Thermostat, mine is reading that it is 101° in my house. It is actually 66°. The indoor temp continues to rise. The device itself is extremely warm to the touch and seems to be overheating. My electric bill will also be much higher this month thanks to this device. This malfunction happened in the middle of the night and caused my air conditioning to run throughout the night when it was 30° outside.
I honestly used to love this thermostat and the fact that it could be controlled from my phone, but this malfunction is completely unacceptable. I have not done anything to cause this, and the thermostat is not located near any heat source, appliances, etc. It completely malfunctioned on its own beyond my control.
Google should set this right for many customers and should (at zero charge) replace these malfunctioning devices since this is a known malfunction. I’ve trusted Google as a reputable company. I was shocked to hear on the call they will not set things right.
For anyone reading this looking for answers, here are the things the rep had me do to troubleshoot my device. I hope someone has better luck than I did.
