Hi friends! Had a Nest installed for years and had no issues. About 3 months ago the Nest stopped working. Called our HVAC guy out and God only knows what the was rambling on about. Long story short he put up an old-time thermostat (Fan = On or Auto and Heat of Cool options). Connected are a Red wire that is jumped from RH to RC, white wire, yellow wire, blue wire, and a green wire. Furnace is gas operated. Plugged in the new Nest and got an error code E9 No power to common (C) wire detected. Blue wire is plugged in to the C slot. Any thoughts or ideas on what is going on with this thing? Thanks in advance!

I just installed one with the same configuration and C wire is not recognized. Would love to hear the answers.

Hi Patrick. I'm currently away from home but will take a pic and post it when I return. In the meantime, I remember this being the proper wiring:
Yellow to Y
White to W
Blue to B
Green to G
Red to RC that is jumped to RH.
