I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest thermostat. I understand that you just completed the setup for your Nest thermostat, but when attaching the display to its base, it will still ask you again to attach it to the base, and then it will power down. No worries, I’m glad to help you in this.
In order to further assist you, I need some extra information. Here are some questions for you:
- What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
- Is this the first time that you install this Nest thermostat?
- Is it a brand new thermostat?
- What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
In the meantime, I will suggest you verify that the wires are flat on the base and the thermostat display is properly seated.
