Installing a Nest Thermostat.

I’m replacing a Duotherm thermostat with a Nest Thermostat for a Duotherm Model# 301050-001 Electric heater. It looks like there’s only 2 wires going to the old Duotherm thermostat…. One wire is Red going to W and o e wire is White going to R. Do I need a C connector for more power or are the batteries inside the Nest Thermostat enough? Please let me know what you guys and gals think?

Post pics of the old thermostat and the wiring diagram for the unit.

There should be a decal inside the cover on the heater showing the wiring diagram.

The Nest non learning needs a C wire or the battery will die from lack of power.

 Good morning Houptee!

Thank you for your helpful reply. Ok I will get a C connector and I will check the inside panel as well. Enjoy your family day long weekend.
