My daughter has an Emerson thermostat with 7 wires y,g,c,r,w2,e and o/b. Not sure if we have second heat source. Our mirror style Nest has place for y,c,w,g,r,o/b. What to do?
That wiring setup, regardless of whether your daughter has a dual fuel system (like a heat pump and a furnace) or not, is not compatible with the Nest Thermostat (2020) model. I'd recommend returning it to the place of purchase and purchasing a Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) or Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) instead.
