My Nest Thermostat has recently started to go offline. I suspect a hardware fault with the Thermostat.
I have reseated the Thermostat on the Nest stand. The connections look clean.
When I ping the device it will run for a while and then stop with Offline message on Thermostat display. If I move Thermostat with its Stand the ping will automatically start again. I suspect a loose internal connection. Fault occurs while running on mains electricity or the internal battery.
Ping shows "Request timed out" when failing. No other devices are having this problem.
Ping speeds highly variable.

I don't know if it's the Thermostat or stand.
