Just moved in and there is a nest learning thermo linked to another account.

So, just moved house and there is a nest learning thermostat (only had the old turn the dial ones before so this is a learning curve 🙂

The thermostat seems to think it's in Guilford which it isn't. I've changed the post code... Still thinks it's in Guilford! 

Also says it's linked to an account so doesn't give me a code for the app.

No idea who the account belongs to. I guess they are in Guildford though.

How do i change it so that I can 1 link to app and 2 get it out of flipping Guilford!! We are no where near.

Check which model of thermostat you have:

If the thermostat had a previous owner and hasn’t been reset yet, factory reset the thermostat.

Once reset, you'll be able to set it up as yours. 

Nest Thermostat
For the Nest Thermostat model, use the Google Home app. The QR code and setup key are physically printed on the back of the thermostat. Follow these steps:
