Lennox icomfort to nest thermostat

  • My old Lennox icomfort wifi stopped working. The thermostat had a red wire going to the R connector, a white wire to the i+ connector, a yellow wire to the i- connector, and to the C connector had a blue and a green wire going to the same screw.

I have a heat pump also

My new nest thermostat reads that there's no wires connected when I hook the red to R, white to W, yellow to Y, green to G and blue to C.

Help. I've tried everything.

Hi @Ronb23,

Thanks for posting in the community! I'm sorry to hear the thermostat isn't recognizing the wires. I'd be happy to help.

As you mentioned, you have a heat pump system, which usually requires an O/B wire. I saw the photo of the Nest thermostat wiring, and it only has wires for R, W, Y, G, and C.

It would be very helpful if you could share the photos of the icomfort thermostat wiring and the HVAC system again, as I can't see them currently. Additionally, knowing the model of your HVAC equipment would be useful.

You can read this article about how to identify thermostat wiring. I also recommend checking the compatibility checker for your Nest thermostat: compatibility checker.

Please keep me updated.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
