Link new thermostat to old Heat link

IvyAlexxander

I woke up this morning to a shelf in my living room on the floor that my thermostat was on. Unfortunately the thermostat broke and is unresponsive. Can I buy a replacement 3rd gen thermostat and link it to the heat link I already have? Or would I have to replace everything as new?

They are sold together and are not available separately.

I would replace the heat link with the new one,

I believe you can pair the new display to an old heat link.
