Making a thermostat work again, gas was off 8 hrs now the heater won't work

The gas was off for 8 hrs and when we turned the thermostat to 85 it sounded like the furnace fired up for about 5 minutes but the fan never came on and then the furnace went back off

Thanks for bringing this up here in the Google Nest community. The fan should run together with your heating system. Let’s look deeper into this. Please answer the following:

1. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
2. Are you from North America or Europe?
3. What is the make and model of your furnace? 
4. Send us a photo of your current Nest Thermostat wiring.
5. Gather power reading. Follow the steps below: 

For the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

1. Press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu.
2. Turn the ring to Settings and press to select.
3. Turn the ring to Technical Info and press to select.

For the Nest Thermostat 2020:

1. Tap the touch bar to bring up the Menu view.
2. Slide your finger down to Settings, then tap to select.
3. Slide your finger to Equipment > Power Info.
