Mode for Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen) Keeps Changing from What is Set...

Good day.

We have had our Nest thermostat for going on two years. A common issue I am facing, is the mode keeps switching back to Cool, when I set it for Heat • Cool. I do not have the Home/Away Assist nor Auto Schedule turned on.

What is going within this app or the thermostat that is acting with autonomy to consistently override my mode setting, thus affecting my schedules associated?

Well according to me this is due to a glitch in the app syncing with the thermostat.  Just restart both the app and thermostat. Then you need to re-check the mode settings. If the problem persists, go for a factory reset and reconfiguration. This can be helpful in many cases.

Moreover these things often happen with some of my integration based tools where I am handling the client's businesses which you can find here. I am always facing these issues for add to cart based businesses. This may sound irrelevant but as I am solving these problems on regular basis, so can provide help regarding these glitches.

Before I ask a question, I'd like to clarify that when you turn off the auto schedule, you need to reset the schedule by following these steps: Settings > Reset > Schedule.
