I recently bought the Nest learning Gen 3 Model thermostat and Heat Link from a user. The Thermostat body has a flat back side .I have only a heating system (2 wire- R & W) connection. I have a back plate and the Thermostat. Can some one help me how I secure the Thermostat on to the wall back Plate.
There is no other accessories provided. I have searched the internet, youtube and all forums including this one can could not find a solution. Most Nest Thermostats have a make connector at the back and spirit level back plate, while mine does not have . Also there is 2 points on the Thermostat back which has ports for the 2 wires to be inserted.
There is no Back Plate to hold this version of the Nest Device
Please see attached the images .
Any guidance will be great .
Thank you

I'm not to sure if I understand what you are asking or if this is a wind up!!!
Are you saying you cannot see the Blue spirit level and the 2 connections for the wiring?
Try pulling the black plate away from the display, and under there you will see the spirit level.
The picture shows the 2 fixings for attaching to the wall.
Regarding You Tube, there are dozens of videos showing removing the display from the back plate.

I would suggest you look into the installation in depth, as you state you only have 2 wires. I assume you mean at the old wall thermostat? The trouble you have there, those 2 wires will be 240v, the Nest uses 12v. Do NOT connect those to wires to the base plate as they are, otherwise you will have major problems.
I typed this into You Tube, ''google nest install uk'', and came up with guides to help. I would read the installation manual first as every install is different. They even show how to remove the display from the base!

Thanks again, Let me check the Voltage on the 2 wires using a Multimeter to confirm if its 12V or 240V
