Moved house and have a Nest heat link only

Nims

Hi

I have recently moved home and there is a Nest Heat link version 2 attached the boiler.

The home owners took the thermostat with them and so I need to get set up again.

What's the best way to do this please?  I am not too familiar with the product so want some ideas as to the best way to get going again.

Can I simply buy a Nest thermostat only and pair it to the heat link? Is this quite easy to do and do I need to have any form installation done?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Nims,

Thanks for reaching out. If the Heat Link is already installed, then all you have to do is:

1. Put the thermostat on the base
2. Complete the setup steps ( select language, connect it to the internet, pair it to the Heat Link, etc. )
3. Enjoy the thermostat

Because the thermostat and Heat Link come as a package, we don't sell them separately. Each thermostat comes with a Heat Link. However you might find one available at 3rd party retailers.
If you find a display, setting it up is very straight forward. I'm more than happy to assist you with the steps. If you choose to buy a new system instead, for the 3rd generation thermostat, I recommend to ask a local installer or a Nest Pro to help you install the Heat Link.

Hope this helps,
Cristian
