I called my HVAC installer and he said you could not install 4 Nest thermostats and have different temperatures for each zone. Only one of the thermostats could control the temps for all of the zones. Is that true? I have a very old thermostat system to replace and will require a C wire connector which I have purchased but now, I am concerned I will not get all the features I was expecting from installing the Nests in the house. Is my installer wrong?

That HVAC installer is incorrect in his understanding. Each thermostat operates independently of the other and as so, can be set to different temperature setting.
The boiler might need to have a single thermostat controlling it, but if it works now with separate thermostats, one in each zone., it will work with a Nest thermostat in each zone.

Thank you! Will call around for another installer then. Your help is much appreciated.
