My Nest Thermostat Turns off the AC when cooling, then it likes to spin it up again right away.

I just installed Nest Learning Thermostat - I have an issue it seems right out of the gate. It would appear to be compatible. I removed my old programmable thermostat and saw that it has 4 wires running to it. To be sure I knew what they work, I removed my furnace panel and see the 4 wires are: white wire to W, red wire to R, green wire to G and black wire to Y. Plugged wires accordingly into the Nest thermostat. Set up was easy. Now when my AC runs for a longer period of time, the thermostat appears to shut the AC off and immediately try to cycle it back on again. Sometimes the AC comes right back on other times I hear my furnace having a conniption and it sounds like construction is happening in the basement with all the banging. This cannot be good! No error codes on the thermostat. I wonder if AIrwave is functioning properly? Seems like a bug since the unit seems to work with no error codes. Help a newbie out!  🙂
