my nest thermostat keeps overwriting my preset schedule. It’ll come on at the preset time, but then shut off a few minutes later, and switches it to Eco. I’ve spoken to someone on the phone who helped me with this issue in the past, but now there is no customer support on the phone. I don’t like that

Hi Gladysr53,
Thanks for posting in our community. I'm sorry for the trouble. Could you tell us the case ID from the interaction with our support team so I can take a closer look?
Cheers,
Renz

When I first spoke to Nest about this it was more than 3 yrs ago. I don’t have that case number any longer. I don’t have one for the same issue ie because Nest doesn’t have customer service anymore over the phone. All there is are forums. I don’t like those. Anyway, I’ve just been resetting my temps to where I want it as soon as Nest switches to Eco. It’s become habit, so if it can’t be resolved here, I’m good (not happy, but good).

Hello Gladysr53,
Thanks for getting back to us. There are a couple other reasons why the Nest Learning Thermostat changes the temperature automatically, for example. If you recently turned off the auto-schedule, the previous setup might still be in effect. The same goes if you have already set up a manual schedule and remove it, there might be a chance that it will adjust the schedule accordingly. This is part of the Nest Learning Thermostat algorithm, but it can easily be fixed by starting fresh on the device. Resetting it to factory default and turning off the auto-schedule right away, follow the steps below:
Those steps will help us start fresh and clear out all the schedule and auto-schedule setup on the Nest Thermostat.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Renz
