My current thermostat has a plug, looks like it's a 12v system

Looking to find out if my current system is compatible. From what I can see the black wire is a ground, the red wire is 12v+ and the brown an yellow wires are ABEV. No idea what that means. But they are in a plug. Can I cut the plug off and just wire them in?

@sykosis

Your current thermostat uses a proprietary interface that none of the Nest thermostats support.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the help, @Patrick_Caezza.

@sykosis, in addition to what was mentioned by Patrick_Caezza. Proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest Thermostats. However, some proprietary systems can be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible.
