My heater wont turn off!

When I put the thermostat on eco or just turn it lower the heater is still heating. I noticed when i put the hot tap on and put it off after 1 minute the heating will stop. So it seems that the connection between the thermostat and the heating unit is not working properly.

what can i do?

Hello Aron1988,

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention regarding the issue with your Nest Thermostat and heating unit. I understand the importance of a properly functioning thermostat for maintaining a comfortable home environment, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

Based on your description, it appears there might be an issue with the connection between your Nest Thermostat and the heating unit. To assist you in resolving this matter, I suggest the following steps:

  1. Ensure that your thermostat is properly set to the desired temperature and mode.
  2. Make sure it's not in a schedule or mode that may override your manual settings.
  3. Carefully inspect the wiring connections between your Nest Thermostat and the heating unit.
    1. Make sure all wires are securely connected and there are no visible signs of damage.
  4. Try turning off the power to both the thermostat and the heating unit. After a few minutes, turn them back on. This can help reset the system and establish a new connection.
  5. Check whether the thermostat is set to automatically adjust temperatures when home members leave and come home (for example, switching to Eco temperatures when the home is set to Away).
  6. Gather the power readings in the Equipment settings or in the Technical Info settings.

Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,

Mark
