I bought a Nest Learning Thermostat and a sensor because I wanted to have more control my daughter's room temperature. I install it them, and the thermostat worked fine for a few days. Then, the compressor started to turn on and off within minutes. At the beginning, I thought it was from the A/C, but I installed my old thermostat. It A/C was fine. I installed Nest thermostat again, and it worked fine for a day. Then, the problem came back again, and my apartment became humid, the cooling was very slow. I contacted the support team, but they couldn’t help me. I was told that the problem is because I don’t have a c wire, and I don’t have access to the HVAC system to connect a c wire or a power connector because I live in an apartment. I tried to return what I bought, but I couldn’t because I use one of the rebate websites. Is there any other solution? Can I connect the heat wire to the c terminal in the summer?

Thank you. I solve the problem by connecting a C wire. It’s working fine.
