I had this issue yesterday. I have a router that has an app where I can modify its settings. I was messing around with it one night and inadvertently shut off the wifi connection to the thermostat and didn't notice until last night.
Needless to say that some words were said while trouble shooting it and boy did I feel like an idiot 2 hours later once I figured it out.
