My nest hasn’t been connected to the wifi for months.

My nest thermostat has not been connected to wifi for months. It’s worked fine for the first few months then just would not connect another day. I’ve tried everything from different wifi networks, different nest accounts, factory resets, you name it. 
 
I thought what an inconvenience with the product, but I’ll live and just use it as a normal, non wifi thermostat. Today, the thermostat reads 10 degrees cooler then what it actually is and now kicking my air off at 82. Living in Florida, this is not going to go over well. I’m reading that it could potentially be a software update issue, but again the nest won’t connect to the internet. I’m assuming the product has gone faulty and I’ve lived with it until now, but can no longer. How could I go about getting this fixed or replaced?

I'm having the exact same issues!  Posting here in hopes someone gives an answer!  Good luck this FL heat with no AC is not cool!

Sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat hasn't been connected to the wifi for months, that's definitely frustrating and not how the device should be working, but I'm happy to take a look into this for you.

Hey Garrett,

The nest does have a W5 error code. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, factory reset, network reset, I’ve tried connecting to a different router, I’ve created multiple accounts, and I’ve tried setting it up through my Google home. While searching for wifi, it doesn’t pick up the main router or other access points throughout the house. Let me know if you have any advice for me. Thanks!
