My nest keeps changing the temperature with all settings off

Hi,

I have 2 nest learning thermostats and they keep cranking my temperature to 74 degrees randomly. I've tripled checked my settings and literally every learning or automation setting is turned off and I can't figure out why the temperature keeps changing.

I've had to resort to turning it off as a whole and turning it back on when I need the heat/cool my apartment. Has anyone experienced this before?

Hello samlongbao,

Yikes! I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Dealing with unexpected temperature changes from your Nest Learning Thermostats can be quite a hassle. It's good that you've already triple-checked your settings and turned off learning and automation features to troubleshoot the issue.

If the problem persists, you might want to try a few additional steps. First, ensure that your thermostats have the latest software updates. Sometimes, updating the software can resolve glitches or bugs that may cause erratic behavior. Secondly, check for any thermostat actions available in the Routines settings on the Google Home app, if you have any. A created action could trigger unexpected changes. Also, disable the Home and Away Assist.

If the problem continues even after trying these steps, consider clearing your Nest Thermostats Temperature Schedules in the Reset settings. This can be a more thorough way to clear up any issues. Just be sure to note down your current settings so you can easily reconfigure them after the reset.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
