Hi, the heating on my nest would turn on but when it reached the set temp it didn't turn the Boiler off, so the house continued to heat. After checking all the wires were still seating correctly (which they were), I factory reset the Thermostat which didn't resolve the issue, the only way I was able to turn the heating off and back on was by turning off the power breaker, this happened at least 4 times now and I’m scared to leave the house because I found it extremely hot when got back, please help!

Your heating system control is perhaps holding the system on. You need to test the system the next time this occurs. Do it like this. The nest turns heat, when temperature set point is reached, the thermostat should turn off the power to the W wire. To check if the thermostat is doing this, remove the thermostat from the back plate and see if the heating system soon after shuts down. Depending on what type of heating system you have, they are typically as a couple minute delay after the signal is deactivated before the heating system shuts completely down. If the heating system continues running Beyond five minutes, after the thermostat has been removed from the back plate, the problem lies in the control system of your furnace/heating system. if on the other hand, the heating system turns off shortly after you remove the thermostat, then the problem more likely lies in the thermostat.

I’m having a similar issue but when I put the thermostat to off the system heats up, when I put it on heater, the AC comes on. When I reinstalled my Honeywell thermostat, it works perfect. I think it may be a bad unit as it’s wired exactly how the app said to

Hey Josh, do me a favor, go ahead and open your own ticket thread and post your problem and add pictures of your old thermostat wiring so we can see how that is wired on your old thermostat model number and then we can assist you to properly configure your Google nest thermostat. Quite often users are not quite sure about their system and then the end of the wrong information to the configuration tool..
when asking for help or opening a question thread ticket, it’s always best to upload your pictures of your old thermostat before you took it off the wall, that shows us the wires so we can understand what your old thermostat was doing. Looking forward to help you getting the nest all set up perfect for your life.
