You should have been the primary account and invited them to the account then you could remove them at any time.

You need to go to settings and do a reset of the Nest and go thru the setup steps again and add the id code to the app to get access to it again.

You could contact Google Nest Support, starting with this link; depending on your location and the time of day, you may have choices for phone or chat contact:

Hi there,

Thanks for getting back.

I understand it can be confusing, but I definitely wanted to see how I could help by removing the current account connected to your Nest Thermostat. Check this link to see which Nest thermostat you have.

For the Nest Learning Thermostat, here's how:

  1. On your Nest Thermostat, go to Settings > Reset > Account Connection > Reset/Clear. Then follow the prompt.
    1. This will disconnect your device from the WiFi network as well as the account to which it is linked.
  2. Once rebooted, go back to Settings > Network. Reconnect it to your preferred WiFi network.
  3. Then, Settings > Nest App.
  4. Proceed with adding it to the Nest App.

For the Nest Thermostat, you may need to reset it to default and set it up on the Google Home App.

  1. Settings > Factory Default.
  2. Proceed to add it to the Google Home App.

Here's your reference on how to add the Nest thermostats to the Google Home App or to the Nest App.

@MplsCustomer , thanks for sharing some ways to contact us.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Mark
