My thermostat is not reaching the requested temperature

I have installed a new boiler last year and bought a nest thermostat( installed by my plumber) all worked fine until last week... I cannot reach the requested temperature and the thermostat seem to raise the temp extremely slowly. as experiment,  I have tried to move the thermostat near the radiator to see for an increase and still nothing happened.

Can you please help? Do I maybe request for a new thermostat as I am still in guarantee??

Thank you

Hello Basilio,

Thank you for reaching out and bringing your thermostat concerns to our attention. I understand how crucial it is for your heating system to function efficiently, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience you've experienced.

We appreciate the details you provided regarding the new boiler installation and Nest Thermostat setup. It's concerning to hear that you are unable to reach the requested temperature and that the thermostat seems to be raising the temperature extremely slowly. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to identify and potentially resolve the problem.

  • Make sure that your thermostat settings are configured correctly. Ensure that the desired temperature is set properly and that the thermostat mode (heat) is selected.
  • Verify the battery status of your Nest Thermostat. Low batteries can sometimes cause malfunctions. Gather the power reading in the Technical Info settings or in the Equipment settings, depending on the Nest Thermostat version you have.
  • Given that your boiler and thermostat were installed last year, it's indeed important to ensure that your heating system functions optimally.
  • Does it have a C wire installed?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,
Mark
