NEST Learning Thermostat not connecting to Heat Link

Hi all, Recently moved into a property and it has a Nest Thermostat installed, fantastic! However, I'm trying to set it up and I am having issues connecting the Thermostat to the Heatlink. I've managed to somehow, get the App to recognise the Thermostat (still says issue with Heatlink). I've reset the Thermostat and Heatlink several times, I've tried the "Replace HeatLink" option which then makes me input the HeatLink code from the bottom of it. Could the wiring of the HeatLink be the issue? I have N L, and then 2 and 3. There is no loop from L to 2 which in some things I've seen is there, and others isnt'. I have an IDEAL Logic Combi 30 boiler. I am in the UK...and its getting colder now! Help me please, thanks.

Hi. I am sorry to hear you are having difficulties with the thermostat at the location and am happy to help.

Generally yes, there would be a connection from live to terminal 2. Then when the heating activates it would close the loop and send the voltage from 2 to 3 activating the boiler. However the wire in 2 could be a separate live wire.

Let us first try manual mode on the Heat Link, this should allow you to have the heating on even without the thermostat connected. Press the button on the Heat Link once, you should see 2 additional LED lights come on. The boiler should activate and the heating should start. To turn it off, press the button again.

HI, I wanted to check in.

How has it been going with the thermostat?
