NEST thermostat stopped working

Hi,

my NEST stopped working. First, the thermostat showe error H72 with no led light on the heatlink. Now, the thermostat is completely off. I reported the problem  filling out the form as advised in the forum. No answer yet! Still cannot use my heating. 
Please HELP!

If your NEST thermostat has stopped working and displayed an H72 error with no LED light on the heatlink, followed by complete shutdown, you've taken the right step by reporting the issue through the provided form.

While awaiting a response, try some initial troubleshooting steps.

Check the power source; ensure it's receiving power and securely connected. Reset the thermostat by holding the display for 10 seconds, then release and restart it. Additionally, inspect the heatlink's wiring for loose connections.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, remain patient for the support team's response, and consider alternative heating methods to stay comfortable while waiting for a solution.

Hi @gab2 , thanks for reaching out here. I'm sorry to hear you are facing difficulties with your thermostat and I would be happy to try and assist. 

 

Let us check a few details to get a better idea of the situation: 

 

1. When was the thermostat installed?
2. When did you first notice this behaviour?
3. Was it installed by a Nest Pro or by a heating/electrical engineer?
4. Did you notice any power cut in the area before this occurred?
5. Did you have any maintenance done on the heating or electrical system recently? 
6. Do you have only one or multiple Google Nest thermostat devices at the location?

 

Also make sure to check out @Mick7 suggestion, thanks for the input, make sure to check the power at the location to make sure nothing has tripped. If it all looks good try and power cycle the Heat Link, if you're comfortable in doing so. Turn the power to the Heat Link off for a few minutes and then turn it back on. See if it has any reaction after, when you press the button on it.

 I have just done the  power cycle on the heat link as suggested.  Nothing happened. Still need help.
