NEST unit charging, even when rebooted and hooking it to another base

My nest thermostat is not charging, even if I plug it into another base. I already tried reseting, factory reboot, etc... When I bring the unit from upstairs and hook it to the unit of the Nest that is not charging, it works well! And when the non-working unit is placed in another base, it still wont charge. I have been able to keep the thing working by charging it with the USB cable. Anything I can do to fix the problem????

Hello... No it hasn't been resolved. I even switched my nest from one section of the house to the other Nest, looking to see if perhaps it was the board, but it is the NEST unit. I have already done the reset, reboot, etc... and nothing, it won't charge unless I do the USB thing once a day for about 1 hr. How do you recommend I do?

Thanks,

Jorge

Hey jorgesrgoogle,

Sorry to hear you are still having trouble keeping the device charged. Do you mind me asking if you have a C wire installed to the base? Are you able to send in a picture of your current wire set up? I would be more than happy to take a closer look and see if we can ensure the device is charging properly.

Best regards,

Jake
