I purchased a new home with a Trane Heat Pump and Honeywell Home Pro Series Thermostats on the first and Second Floors. I tried replacing the Honeywell themostat on the first floor first with a Nest Learning Thermostat (planning to replace the upstairs thermostat later).
My heating system is not working with the Nese thermostat. I spoke with a nest representative by phone that told me a nest learning thermostat is not compatible with my Trane heat pump system. I found this hard to believe as it’s a brand new heat pump. Is this indeed, correct?
