Neat Thermostat keeps going offline

Starting last week my Nest Thermostat has had an issue with going offline.  I charged the thermostat even though it said the power was fine, have checked my router and Wi-Fi and reset that, went through all the steps provided by Nest for troubleshooting, and did a factory reset.  This solved the problem until today.  I went through all the steps again and ended up doing another factory reset.  I have not gotten an error message but it will not connect to my WiFi and it seems when it drops the wifi it stops reading the temperature correctly.  I currently have the thermostat charging again but noticed others have had this problem as well and what the answer might be.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the connection of your Nest Thermostat. I see that you already tried some steps to resolve this. I'd love to know more about what's happening and I have a few questions:

 

  • How far is your Nest Thermostat from the router?
  • What is the power readings of your Nest Thermostat? You can find this information by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.
