Neat thermostat "e2" claiming no wires or power all the sudden?

Randomly got this today when I noticed it's very cold. This happened all of the sudden and I'm not sure what to make of it. I seen someone else talk about battery power, it is at 3.822v? Claims no wifi connection but won't let me try to connect it. No one detached wires so idk what's going on, can't really do down into the basement because I have twin toddlers I need to keep an eye on. Please help, it's super cold!

Hi Twinmamamangan,

I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't turn on the heat due to a wiring problem. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

It appears that your system might not provide enough power or any power to either the thermostat or a specific wire. Please check out this guide:

  • Get the power status from Battery Level, Voc, Vin, and Lin under Technical Info.
  • Make sure that the breakers are on.
  • Ensure all the wires are properly connected.
  • Check the air filter. A clog in the air filter can limit how much air flows over the cooling coils. If the clog persists, the cooling coils can freeze, causing the system to shut off.
  • Check the fuse for your HVAC system. If the fuse burns out, the system might cut off the power to the thermostat and cause an E2 wiring report.

Keep us posted.

Best regards,

Mark

I have not replied because my husband has yet to do the things you have suggested. He will be looking into it within the next few days.
