Need help installing Nest Thermostat 4th Gen on Electric Furnace (no gas) with Heat Pump

Here is my current system:

  • Electric Furnace with Heat Pump (This house is all electric. I don't even have a gas meter). This unit switches from the heat pump to emergency heating (heating strip) when the outdoor temp falls below 35 degrees.
  • Honeywell TH8320R1003 Thermostat
    • Red wire connected to R
    • Jumper between R and RC
    • Blue wire connected to C
    • No other wires connected to terminals
  • April Air 600 Whole House Humidifier
  • I-wave R  bipolar ionization generator

I want to install my new Nest Thermostat 4th Gen. My April Air 600 installed told me it is best to run my blower fan on all the time, even when I'm not home. I want to be able to turn off my April Air 600 humidifier and blower when I'm not home for energy savings. Can you provide wire connection to Nest 4th Gen? TIA!

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Thanks, I contact Google tech support and received a ton of guidance and a connection diagram. FYI - I don't have privileges to upload photos. : (

  • good morning I received the 4th gen from google and now I have to replace it from my old one because is going to be obsolete on October.  How I do that?  Just switch it with this one and the same connection??

I now have privileges to upload photos! Hopefully, this will be useful to others. My system is somewhat unique since it's all electric and includes a heat pump, humidifier, and ion generator. I had to bypass my Equipment Interface Module and connect straight to the Nest. In addition, I need a new cable cluster from the humidifier to the Nest.
