I have heating only system at home that has an old thermostat with 3 wires ( red, black and white). I would like to replace it with nest thermostat, and someone help me with the wiring setup?
Here is the link to the setup - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ojGTQSmm44x2itgBCuUsn8OzR9jH_Lnp/view?usp=drivesdk
Thank you.

Hi srikantvadrevu,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with this. Let’s check it out.
A few questions: which country are you located in? What is the make and model of your heating system? Can you share a photo of the old thermostat with the wiring labels?
You can use our handy compatibility checker tool to help determine if a Nest thermostat is compatible with your heating system.
Keep me posted.
All the best,
Lance

Hello Lance,
I'm located in the United States, my current heating system is electrical. The thermostat I have is a pretty old one and does not have a name on it. Here is the picture of the current wiring setup - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ojGTQSmm44x2itgBCuUsn8OzR9jH_Lnp/view?usp=drivesdk
Thank you for the assistance,
Srikant

Hey Srikant,
Thanks for circling back. Since the existing thermostat doesn’t have any labels, I’d recommend contacting a Nest Pro to determine if your system is compatible with Nest thermostats.
If you are in the US, you can contact our installation partner, OnTech, to help you set up the Nest camera or doorbell.
For all other countries, you can book an appointment with a Nest Pro. You can find more information here.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Lance
