Need to be able to set Safety temp above 45 degrees. Please enable

I have a Google nest thermostat set in a vacation property with cold winters. There needs to be an ability to set the safety temp above 45° Fahrenheit. The reason for this is by the time your temperature drops all the way down to 45 from say a standard set point of 60° for a hydronic system it's probably too late for you. You have pipes running through other cold spots and they might be dipped below the 32° threshold. Also, the only reason why your temperature has dropped down to 45° is because there's something wrong with your boiler/furnace. It takes time to get a professional out to service your equipment and so your window of time for when you can get somebody out there has now shrunk to a very dangerous level.

Please allow notifications at higher temperatures say 55 or 60° that way you know immediately if there's something wrong with your heating system you have a chance of getting someone out there to fix it in time. This is a very important feature for many of us in the north.  Please address this.

Thank you,

Todd

Hey @GopherGuy

Absolutely been addressed before. The Community members have asked for the low and the high safety temps to be adjusted.

I'll escalate this to our Nest Thermostat team and I also suggest you file feedback in the app.

Thanks!

Thank you...this would be a major upgrade for many of us in the same position.
