Hello dpwz,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

To have a better visual, could you share with us a photo of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring? Tell us the make and model of your HVAC system. Also, verify that your HVAC system is compatible with the Nest Thermostat. You may want to check the Nest Thermostat compatibility guide or consult their support for any specific requirements. If the issue persists, you might want to try resetting the Nest Thermostat and reconfiguring it from scratch. This can sometimes resolve any configuration issues.

Remember to turn off power to your HVAC system before making any adjustments to the wiring. Safety first! If you're still having issues, let us know.

Regards,
Mark

I am having the same issue.  The fan is on, but no heat.  Looking at my app on my phone, it shows I have a white wire on the bottom left labeled heat.  The white wire is actually on the bottom right of the thermostat that is labeled *OB.  It worked before wired like this.  We did a factory reset on accident and tried to re add the thermostat.  How do I let the system know the white wire needs to be on the OB?  Would this allow it to blow heat again?  Do I need to start all over again?

Hi LarFai,

It seems like the wiring configuration may be causing the issue with your thermostat not producing heat even when the fan is running. Since there was a factory reset and an attempt to re-add the thermostat, it's important to ensure that the wiring is correctly configured.

To address the issue with the white wire, can you post a picture of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup? The wiring configuration is crucial for the thermostat to communicate with your heating system properly.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark
