I'm trying to setup a 2nd gen that we moved to a new house. It is asking for a "key" to add the device but I can not find it and the stat says it's connected to the Nest app. Any help? Thanks.

If the thermostat says it's already connected to the Nest app, that means the previous owner did not reset it before leaving. Try these steps:
