Nest 3rd Gen Common Power Source

twm

I have a Nest 3rd Gen learning Thermostat.  I have a dual source configuration (heating unit separate from a/c).  How do I wire the thermostat so that the common power is drawn from the heating side?  So far I can only make things work if I use the cooling side to power common.  I have to use the heating side to power common.
