Nest 3rd Gen Heatlink Failure

Hi

I have a 2 zone heating system on a combi boiler in Dublin, Ireland. It was installed 2-3 years ago and has been working perfectly up until a month or so ago when one of the zones failed

Both thermostats are hard wired to their respective Heatlinks

Zone 1 (downstairs) thermostat display reported a “failure to connect” recently and the battery subsequently died.

Having found various threads from people with similar issues I performed tests as follows

Zone 1 Heatlink has 230v connected, has no lights present, no response to pressing the reset button for 30 seconds, no 12v output across T1 & T2 to thermostat

Zone 2 (upstairs) is working fine, lights are as expected, 12v present at thermostat, heat comes on as expected.

I’ve charged the Nest thermostat and connected it to its base but it still doesn’t connect to the Heatlink and ultimate loses charge and dies. doesn’t seem to hold.

I found the 09A number for zone 2 thermostat but how can I find this for the failed one if it cannot connect to its Heatlink?

please let me know how to resolve this. I will fill out whatever forms necessary.

Update…. I have managed to get the 09A number from the failed thermostat  I took pictures of most of the product info from the nest info screen before the battery died so I believe I have all the info you might require to progress the case with me.
