Nest 3rd Gen Thermostat - Doesnt control Heating on or off

My nest worked fine for about a year -now it cant even turn the heating on and off - i turn heating off via app or via the wall controller makes no difference , seems have lost all ability to control the boiler. Have to manually turn on and off on Heat Link - very fed up with it now..... its only 2 years old. Am i missing something here or do i have a dud ? 

Any comments or help would be appriciated.

Hi there and thanks for bringing this to my attention. Could you tell me when it started happening? Which type of Nest Thermostat do you have (Nest Learning Thermostat 2nd gen/3rd gen, Nest Thermostat E, or Nest Thermostat 2020)? Also, what country are you located in?
