Nest 3rd Generation room temprature gets stuck at same time every day.

My Nest room temperature  gets stuck on the display at 19 about 10pm every night and the only way to shift it is to soft reset it. When it comes back on it is at the correct room temperature for a short period and then it resets  to 19 and stays there. I just rests it. It came back on at 17 and now it’s at 19 in the time it took to write this. It’s not right. It only ever happens at the same time in the evening, and is fine in the morning and the rest of the day. Any advice?

Hi Charloch,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I’m sorry to hear that the Nest room temperature is getting stuck on the display at 19 every night at 10 pm, and for now the only way to fix it is by performing a soft reset. I understand how important it is for you to get your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen with the correct room temperature. I’m happy to help!

To better assist you, I'd like to confirm whether the Nest Temperature Sensor is the Nest Learning Thermostat or the one you described as the Nest room temperature. Additionally, I'd like to ask the following:

  • When did the inconvenience first occur?
  • Did you get any error messages?
  • Is the Nest Learning Thermostat newly installed?

In the meantime, I’d suggest the following steps:

  • Check the WiFi signal strength by going to Settings > Technical Info > Network.
  • Ensure that your Nest Learning Thermostat and the Nest app have the latest software update. For reference, you can check out this article: Update Nest products and apps.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
