The power outage happened a couple of days ago. My Nest thermostat was working fine until then. When the power came back, the a/c came back and everything seemed to be back to normal.
However, the next morning I noticed that the thermostat was now showing a flashing green light and would not turn on. I removed it from the wall and charged it for a couple of hours. It worked fine until a couple of hours later - same issue.
Now I have to recharge it manually every 6-8 hours.
I've seen similar posts on here, but my thermostat was working perfectly, until after the power outage. Not sure what changed, but the a/c is working fine

If your HVAC system is working fine then I assume you have already checked your circuit breakers and all are seated correctly. You can check your furnace, some models have a small fuse (like an automotive fuse) , that may be burnt out , causing a lack of voltage. Also, it's good practice to check the wiring at the base of the nest thermostat itself just to be sure nothing got dislodged. Hopefully one of these will fix the issue !
