Nest 4th Generation Thermostat

Purchased a new 4th generation Nest Thermostat because my 3rd generation Nest would not connect to WiFi.  I added the thermostat to my Google Home app but can’t add to my Nest app because the 4th generation is not available as an option to add. Is there going to be an app update or is there a work around?

Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) is designed for and managed with the Google Home app, you cannot add it to the Nest app.
