Compatibility checker requested me to confirm, no wire for C. I do have two spare wires, a black and brown wire.

Hi JazzyJ,
Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest with our Nest Thermostats. Fortunately, your thermostat wires are compatible with any of our Nest Thermostat and should be wired as follows:
The Nest Thermostat does not need the S1 and S2 wires, so you can install your Nest Thermostat without these wires. Also, here's your guide for the installation and setup of a Nest Thermostat.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We're happy to help.
Best,
Zoe

Thanks for the info. I am returning these units, wasted hours and had to remove them. The push wire connectors suck. Had to work for over an hour trying to get confirmed connections. Then to find out one was still not connecting properly. JUNK.. The designer needs to be beat. Why didn't they use screws like every other thermostat. I don't like the touch controls on the side. I got it hooked up, thought it was running correctly then I noticed the house getting hot instead of cold. Read that its probably the O/B setting. Could not find how to make the change in the settings. Will look for a better option.

Hi there,
Thanks for the follow-up information, and I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment in this matter. I'd like to take a closer look at this for you.
A few questions: What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Can you send us a photo of how you wired the thermostat wires on the Nest Thermostat base? What is the make and model of your HVAC system, including the make and model of the fan coil or air handler units? Did you check the O/B wire configuration and try changing the O-wire to B-wire configuration or vice versa? Also, can you please help us with the power reading of your Nest Thermostat? Go to Settings > Technical Info > Power if you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, and then to Settings > Equipment > Power Info if you have the Nest Thermostat 2020.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Zoe
